Let’s make this clear:
I don’t do your marketing.
I don’t run your social media.
I don’t become an expert on your local area.
And I don’t pretend to know more about websites, branding, demographics or SEO than a marketing professional.

What I do is help schools, colleges, and agencies apply commercial sales techniques and processes to what they already have — so more enquiries become actual enrolments.

In short: I bring sales expertise to education. 

 

✅ What I do:

  • Work hands-on with your admissions or recruitment team to improve follow-up and conversion. Sounds simple? But we get into the detail.
  • Map your current enquiry-to-enrolment (or offer-to-acceptance) journey and highlight what’s leaking (wrote the book about this and it became a best-seller)
  • Create practical follow-up frameworks that fit your team, tools, and tone 
  • Train your staff to take confident action — quickly, authentically and helpfully.
  • And if you use international agents: support your outreach and relationship management as a sales channel, not as a marketing campaign.

❌ What I don’t do:

  • Social media strategy or content.
  • Website development, analysis or email marketing campaigns.
  • Anything that involves branding, creative assets, or media buying.
  • Demographic research, or competition analysis

That’s not my area — and I respect the people whose it is. I’ve worked alongside brilliant marketers and professionals that excel at these things. But if you're doing all that and still not hitting enrolment targets? It’s usually the ‘sales’ process that’s letting you down.

Sales in education isn’t guesswork. And it’s not just being “nice” or “helpful.”
It’s a professional skill — just like teaching, marketing, or counselling — and I’ve been in it for 30 years.

And yes — I know a bit about marketing. Most experienced sales professionals do. But I won’t pretend I’m a marketer.
